4 Best PS4 Games To Play Right Now

Since its release in 2013, the PS4 has served us gamers well. The best part is that it’s still relevant and will continue to be relevant for a long time. There are a lot of existing games that you can enjoy on the PS4 and there will be more in the future. I believe that games will still be released for the PS4 even after the release of PS5.

The release of the PS4 Pro proved that this generation of console gaming is here to stay. At this point, you have the option to play PS4 games in either 1080p resolution with the regular and slim versions and in 4K with the Pro version. There’s still so much in store for the PS4 that it’s not just the time to let go of these amazing consoles.

While there will be backward compatibility in the soon to be released PS5, keeping your PS4 alive makes sense because that way you’ll just have more disk space for your PS4 games. So, purchasing new PS4 games and even a PS4 at this point makes complete sense as there’s a lot in store for you. Playing an early PS4 game today still feels fresh because that’s just how great they are.

Take the remastered version of The Last Of Us for example, it was released with the basic version of the PS4 and is still a fan favorite. Also, it shouldn’t be a surprise that the game is still being purchased today. People just can’t get enough of this console generation and its games because that’s just how good they are.

I play my PS4 whenever I get the chance and I play the games that I love to play. Believe me, some games still feel fresh and amazing because of how amazing they and the console are. On that note, let’s have a look at 4 best PS4 games to play right now:

Dark Souls 3

The moment I wrote this, I knew that there will be some people reading this with a happy face and some with an angry face. And let me tell you, both of these groups love the game or the whole Dark Souls series, in general. Let’s get one thing straight, this game needs practice. You have to really dig deep and spend time on this game, learn and master all the skills in the game, and you still won’t be able to say “Dark Souls 3 is easy”. Well, the catch here is, it’s not supposed to be easy, and that’s what makes Dark Souls 3 so great. The sense of achievement and satisfaction you’ll get after beating each boss or even some common enemies is unexplainable. That’s why we love playing this game even today.

Detroit: Become Human

God bless Quantic Dream for creating this masterpiece. Seems like they learned something from Beyond: Two Souls. Jokes apart, Detroit: Become Human is an amazing game that takes place in 2038 in Detroit. Where people have become more dependant on machines, hence the creation of Androids. The story follows three Androids, Marcus, Connor, and Kara, as they struggle with finding their true identity and figuring out which side to pick for the final battle between Humans and Androids. The game has an amazing story, eye-catching graphics, and astonishing replayability with the number of different outcomes you can get in each scenario. Playing this game still feels fresh and it will take a long time before this game becomes irrelevant.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

The latest game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is the best yet. With improved graphics, amazing gameplay, a huge open-world map, and two great protagonists, this game is worth exploring. As the name suggests, the game is set in ancient Greece and you have access to a huge ocean and a fully-crewed ship. There’s a lot to explore and do in this game even after the completion of the main story and you just can’t get enough of it. The replayability of this game is amazing with the number of different things you can do even after the story ends. Players will enjoy this game even after the release of PS5.

God Of War

I guess it isn’t a surprise that I have included this game as well. God Of War is, in every way, one of the best games ever made. The 2018 Game Of The Year is a game that follows Kratos as he travels to the Norse lands after slaying all the gods in Greece. He and his son Atreus, go on a journey to spread Atreus’s mother’s ashes from the highest peak in all the realms. They meet a lot of friends and foes throughout their journey and discover shocking secrets as they complete their journey. For the first time, God Of War is an open-world game that lets you scale Midgard and some other realms to fight enemies and complete challenges. This game has amazing replayability as the side-quests also feel like a part of the story. God Of War is a must-play if you own a PS4 or PS4 Pro.
